Install of air gauge and power point in Jeep Cherokee
This was in my XJ. I took out the cig lighter and replaced it with a air gauge, then I took a cig lighter from a 93 Ford XLT and cut a hole in the lower dash and placed it there. To the right of the rear windshield switch is my in cab winch controle.
ARB Compressor Install
This is where I installed my ARB Compressor. Ran the plugs to the under side of the dash inside. These compressors are relentless and have been tested thoroughly.

YJ Frame Clean up
I took the frame to have it sand blasted and then primed red.
After removing the body I took the frame off to get blasted and painted with primer. while it was off I welded up the rear body mounts that are under the rear seats and sprayed it down using Por15 Frame coating. This is it a few weeks after I got it back. Most if not all the work done on the YJ was out side. I suggest that if you start a project like this to have a shop.

Crane taking YJ off Frame and views of my Jeep Cherokee
Click Me for a photo stream of my Cherokee with Custom 4x4 rear bumper and AJ off-Roads Rocker guards. Also in this view you will see how the YJ tube was removed from the frame and My skid row transfer case skid.
Drive Shafts compair Tatton Drive Shaft vs Stock short slip
These are both CV drive shafts. The top one is a cut down front XJ shaft I used for a rear drive shaft. The bottom is from Tatton Drive Shafts. The difference in the two is that the top is a short slip and the bottom is a extend slip or spline shaft. The bottom also has a flange adapter for a Rubicon express sye kit.
AX-15 Internal to External Slave Cylinder Clutch line write up
For those of you that want to do an external slave cylinder setup or in the process of one on your AX-15 I have found something that will hopefully make your conversion much easier.
My current build in progress is moving over a 1995 XJ 4.0 and ax-15 in my 1992 YJ. As you know a the 95 came with external slave cylinder already setup and I had just put a new one on before I Insanely decided to tear down a fully functional XJ so that I could do this project.
So here is what I had to work with.
1992 Clutch master cylinder and 1995 XJ Slave cylinder. neither hydralic lines would work as most know in this situation.
So I need to figure out how to make the two work with out spending alot of cash.
So after much searching I found that most go to the Stealer ship to buy a Clutch, Hose and Slave cylinder kit. My Dealer wanted $185.92 for it. In my case I'm on a budget as most of you. So nix that option.
I thought about going do my local hydraulic shop and having them build the line, but my concern was the pin lock fittings that both my Clutch and Slave cylinder require.
I decided to make a call to Advance Adapters and spoke with Steve. After giving the spill of what I was doing he said this wouln't be a problem. So today this is what I received, oh and it only cost me $75.00 to my door and its steel braided.
This is also on Jeepforum.com. My user name is "Bigredcherokee" on Jeep forum and this content is mine.

The Picture of the Clutch Master cylinder is the correct one for the 1992 YJ above.
This picture of the Clutch Slave cylinder is of a 1995 XJ AX-15
YJ Power Steering pump to XJ pump write up.
I recently removed the old yj remote reservoir and pump and installed a XJ pump. In doing this I had to remove my air box but its worth it. I used an air raid intake.
So you will need the following items this is really straight forward.
You can either pick up a pump and you local auto parts store or get one off an XJ like I did. Just happen to have a scrapped XJ
I got the pump and bracket with pully from a donar XJ.
You will want to remove the drive belt then the old pump and hardware. Be sure to drain it before hand.
Then remove the bracket and pump. You will only need to remove the two bolts in the water pump and the ones that bolt into the intake.
do the reverse install with the XJ pump and bracket.
At this point the old High pressure line will not work you will need on that will route back around the XJ pump.
To solve this problem I used a 2000 TJ High pressure line I will post up a part number tomorrow for you. Cant find my receipt.
(Part No. 80293 By powercraft. Part number from Advanced Auto)
Then you will need a longer low pressure return line which you will cut to fit.
I had to find a belt that would fit b/c the stock belt for a 1992 YJ with AC would not work it was to long so I ended up with in the last pic with that part number.
Be sure to bleed the system before head ou
Since I used a XJ motor in the YJ and keep the XJ power steering bracket and pump I needed a different belt. This is the part number I used.

My 1995 Jeep Cherokee
This is where most if not all of the Drive train parts and dive line came from to go in to the Jeep Wrangler YJ. This picture is of my Jeep Cherokee with 3" lift and 31' BFG's. That's my wife in the photo.
This Jeep went through a lot and had many runs on trails but I got a awesome deal on a YJ frame and tube so I jumped on it.
JB4x4 Highsteer
I went with JB4x4 Bracket because I had an existing Dana 30 with Alloy shafts, ARB,4.56 gears and warn hub conversion and really didn't have the cash to put out on a Dana 44 front so that I could gain high steer or lock out hubs. The JB bracket has held up very well in the 2 years or so that I have had it installed. It also allows for correct steering geometry eliminating the need for a drop bracket and steering stabilizer.
Tomken Machine Swingout Tire Carrier and bumper
Tomken Machine has been around for quite a while now. I got the bumper from a friend of mine and decided to order the swing out and tow pins to finish it out. When I got the parts in I found out that the bumper I had was older than I thought and the original hols that were drilled were off. It took me a bit but I ended up using one hole for and welding up the other and re-drilling to make it straight.
As of a few weeks again Dec 2011 I tested the tow pins out. I used them to anchor the YJ to a tree to pull out a stuck truck. To my surprise they did quite well.
Pavement Ends Targa Top Jeep Wrangler
I got a steel on a discontinued hard top from Collins Brother Jeep in Willy, Texas. I'm in Shreveport, Louisiana and the wife and I decided to take our kids to the Dallas Zoo and stop by Collins Brothers and pick the top up. This is a great to and I saved quite a bit of money on it to.
Propane conversion on a CJ with a AMC 6 cylinder
This conversion is on a CJ and the kit was purchased from Got Propane. All you need is a fuel bottle and a hot and ground wire and that is it.
Detroit Electrac install Dana 44
Also included in this photo stream is pictures I found on the net for brackets incase I needed to build one. These are for reference.
Adding A/C to the Wrangler
The compressor is of a 1995 Jeep Cherokee and the ac system is off a later model YJ. I found the AC system off a forum or Craigslist I cant remember. What I did was call up JeepAir and had them send me the fittings to connect the 1995 XJ compressor to the older YJ AC system. They were able to get me all my parts even the replacement vents for the inside.
The Yj already had wiring in place for A/C so that was easy most of the plugs matched except for the ones under the dash there were four there with a duplex connector that I had to cut off and wire to the older AC system that only had a green and orange plug ends.
1992 Jeep Wrangler cowl repair
When I got the Jeep back together I drove it around for a while since this was my daily driver. When it would rain I would have a massive water problems so during the summer I decided to have the Jeep painted. when I started to break it down for pre and paint I found out why I was having a water problem. As you can see from the photos the center of the cowl where the windshield seal sets was rotted out. I was lucky enough to find a YJ with the same color in a Junk yard that let me cut out the part I didn't need. They said that they couldn't sell it b/c it was one of those government cash for clunkers trade in.
Custom Trans cover
This Tans Tunnel cover is something I made so that I could fit my Northwest Fabworks reverse Twin stick shifters in the YJ. The sharpie black circle is what I traced from the original Transmission tunnel cover that came on the YJ and then decided why the hell do I need to have a hole that big. So far this setup has worked out well.
Warn Dana 30 Hub conversion
This is my Warn Hub conversion. I picked up this kid from a guy on Pirate4x4 who cut me a great deal on it and a lock-right locker and the alloy shafts inner and out to go with it. To be on the safe side I ended up replacing the bearings and the break rotors. I had to get the center of the break rotor machined out to fit over the hubs.
